Hospice Care in the Nursing Home

In partnership with the nursing home staff, the Hospice team of
physicians, nurses, social workers, pastoral caregivers, and volunteers,
provide for the needs of the patient, as well as work to lessen the
stress which serious illness imposes upon the entire family and circle
of loved ones. |

A trained Hospice volunteer can provide
companionship and be a friend. Bereavement support continues
to help the family members
and close friends as they adjust to the loss of their loved one.
